Hey family,
I look forward to hearing from all of you. This will be fun! Here's an update from the Blake Beazers. Blake and I had a great Homecoming weekend down in Provo. It was really cold but no rain or snow so we were happy. And of course the Cougar victory was sweet. Gail was watching over our flock while we were gone. When we got back the house was COLD. The furnace wouldn't start at all. Grandpa Dick looked over it and couldn't figure out what the problem was. So we cranked up the gas fireplace all day Sunday and survived quite nicely. Today I got our friendly neighborhood furnace guy to come out and he found a dead BIRD in one of the internal motors. Just dried out--I imagine it fell in during the summer and never really was --cooked. Anyway, he put some wire mesh over the vent in the roof so hopefully this will not happen again. And we now have heat!!
Eliza gave our FHE lesson tonight on the parable of the talents (this was what her Primary lesson was about yesterday.) So for our activity we had a mini talent show. This was the program:
Brent demonstrated really fast running
Jessie demonstrated dance moves she has learned in her first month of class
Eliza showed us the paper dolls she made today
Richard played the Star Wars theme on the piano
Maggie sang "If the Savior Stood Beside Me"
Abram did impressions--Barney, Barbie, George Bush, McCain, Obama, etc.
Blake showed his latest cross stitch
Maren showed the cake she made for dessert
It was pretty funny stuff. Thanks for getting us started Becky! Hope to hear from everyone soon! Maren
